Con Houlihan

Con Houlihan was born, as he put it himself, “in the hill country above Castle Island on the 6th of December 1925, in a blizzard”. After working as a teacher he began writing as a journalist, producing a column three times a week for the Evening Press. He subsequently wrote for a variety of publications, including the Sunday World and Magill magazine. Con died in 2012. His writing recalls the bardic tradition of reciting the feats on the battlefield of departed warriors.
